Helping Those in Paranormal or Spiritual Need!
Rev. Sherrie James
The Rev. Sherrie James' education, ordination status, paranormal experiences, and devotion to helping those in paranormal and spiritual need combine to establish her as a leading religious authority on spiritual, metaphysical and paranormal matters.
Though Rev. Sherrie James is very faithful to her traditional Christian roots, she also is capable of understanding and discussing intelligently and without judgment the complex moral, ethical and metaphysical relationship between Christianity, modern society, and the paranormal. Sherrie feels that one aspect of her ministry is to help facilitate communication and to help educate members of the Christian and the paranormal communities on how to better understand the honest and modern realities of each other. As another aspect of her general pastoral calling, Rev. Sherrie directly assists those that are experiencing extremely challenging paranormal or demonic hauntings and provides a safe place for people who have experienced paranormal events to process and discuss how those experiences impact their normal and spiritual lives.
Rev. Sherrie James often attempts to stand in the gap and to act as a bridge and resource when needed between the paranormal and traditional Christian communities. As a gentle and
nonjudgmental witness of Christ's love to the global paranormal community, Rev. Sherrie recognizes that many involved in the paranormal and beyond have been hurt or disillusioned by organized religion and yet remain very spiritual individuals. She also knows that sometimes Christians involved in the paranormal -- by intention or by default -- as paranormal investigators or that are involuntarily experiencing paranormal events are often reluctant to speak with their own pastors and churches about this topic for fear of being ridiculed or being ostracized. She is willing to help anyone in need.
Rev. Sherrie James believes that God sometimes calls and prepares ministers to work with specific groups of people, such as with youth, with those who are terminally ill, or with the homeless. As one aspect of her general pastoral ministry, Sherrie feels that God has prepared her for this particular ministry and calling to help educate the paranormal and religious
communities and to help those in paranormal crisis or peril. As a part of being faithful to that calling, Sherrie took additional vows during her ordination service agreeing to act as an exorist as needed. This makes her one of the few Christina clergy within a mainline denomination to ever have taken such formal vows.
Rev. Sherrie also acts as a respectful educator of other Christians, of members of the paranormal community, and of fellow paranormal investigators about the practical aspect of dealing with hauntings, ghosts, negative entities, and demons. She provides education at conferences and through media outlets, shares investigation techniques with or assists paranormal teams, and offers warnings about the potential dangers involved in provoking deliberate paranormal interactions and opening spiritual doorways. Believing that our youth deserve honest answers and the opportunity to openly discuss their questions about the paranormal, Rev. Sherrie does youth-oriented presentations as well. As noted, Sherrie also directly assists and intervenes in paranormal crisis situations when needed and conducts Christian blessings, cleansings, and location exorcisms.
Recognizing how challenging it can be for pastors to discuss their own questions about the paranormal in safety and to get accurate information about this topic, Rev. Sherrie also provides educational seminars and free consultations to other ministers and ordained clergy about the paranormal, about hauntings, about discernment issues, and about deliverance ministry and exorcisms. She discusses how to best answer religious and paranormal questions posed by parishioners based on current scientific understandings as well as from sound biblical teachings.
So just who is Rev. Sherrie James?
Rev. Sherrie is an ordained minister with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), one of the 25 largest mainline denominations in the United States with over a million members. Even though it is not traditional within her denomination, Sherrie made additional formal vows during her ordination service to act as an exorcist and healer as one aspect of her ministerial calling. Upon request, she may directly assist in paranormal and negative cases by conducting house blessings, home or business cleansings, or location exorcisms free of charge. Though Sherrie works directly with negative cases as a Christian exorcist, she always considers herself to be a pastor first and foremost. She currently is serving as the minister of a church in South Carolina.
The paranormal continues to be a part of Rev. Sherrie's ministry as well as a part of her writing and speaking platforms. Sherrie speaks at paranormal conferences, at paranormal meet-up groups, at fundraising events for historical sites, at youth group rallies and events, at pastor trainings, at local, regional, or national church conferences, and at other functions and events. She is a frequent guest on Internet radio shows. She also is a writer and freelance editor, and is a regular contributor of articles to websites, such as ghostvillage.com, and her first book is expected to be out in 2013.
