Rev. Sherrie James...

Though the Rev. Sherrie James is very faithful to her traditional Christian roots, she is capable of understanding and discussing intelligently and without judgment the complex moral, ethical and metaphysical relationship between modern society, Christianity, and the paranormal.  Sherrie feels that one aspect of her ministry is to help the Christian and the paranormal communities to better understand the honest and modern realities about each other.  She also assists those that are experiencing extremely challenging paranormal or demonic hauntings.

Rev. Sherrie believes that God sometimes calls and prepares ministers to work with specific groups of people, such as with youth, with those who are terminally ill, or with the homeless.  As one aspect of her ministry, Sherrie feels that God has prepared her for this particular ministry and calling to help educate the paranormal and religious communities and to help those in paranormal crisis or peril.   One of Rev. Sherrie's main focuses is to make sure that those who have experienced hauntings or negative encounters have a safe place to talk about what has happened and to have the opportunity to discuss and to process the spiritual implications of what may have taken place.

With respect for others' beliefs, Rev. Sherrie seeks to share and to educate about the paranormal and modern Christianity.  As a gentle, nonjudgmental witness of Christ's love to the global paranormal community, Sherrie recognizes that many involved in the paranormal have been hurt or disillusioned by organized religion, and that Christians involved in the paranormal are often reluctant to speak with their own pastors and churches about this topic for fear of being ridiculed or being ostracized.  Sherrie attempts to be a respectful educator of other  Christians and fellow clergy as she acknowledges differing views on the often controversial topic of the paranormal and demons.  She also provides warnings and education to both communities about negative hauntings and demonic interactions.  Sherrie also directly assists and intervenes in paranormal situations when needed.

Recognizing how challenging it can be for pastors to discuss their own questions about the paranormal in safety and to get accurate information about this topic, Rev. Sherrie also provides educational seminars and consultations to other ministers and ordained clergy about the paranormal, about hauntings, about discernment issues, and about deliverance ministry and exorcisms.  She discusses how to best answer religious and paranormal questions posed by parishioners based on current understandings as well as from sound biblical teachings.

So just who is Rev. Sherrie?

Rev. Sherrie is an ordained minister with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), one of the 25 largest mainline denominations in the United States with over a million members.  Even though it is not traditional within her denomination, Sherrie made additional formal vows during her ordination service to act as an exorcist as one aspect of her ministerial calling.  Upon request, she may directly assist in paranormal and negative cases by conducting house blessings, home or business cleansings, or location exorcisms free of charge.  Though she works directly with negative cases as an exorcist, she always considers herself to be a pastor first and foremost.

In various forms, it seems that religion and the paranormal have always dovetailed in Rev. Sherrie's life.  Beginning when she was around 13-years-old, Rev. Sherrie began to study the Bible as well as the supernatural, parapsychology and myth.  She also accepted Jesus as her Lord and savior at that same age.  As she grew up, she continued to read and study in various forms about both Christianity and the supernatural.  Sherrie eventually obtained an undergrad degree in Religion and then her Masters in Divinity from Duke.  Rev. Sherrie’s religious education, paranormal experiences, and devotion to helping those in paranormal need help to establish her as a leading religious authority on metaphysical matters within paranormal and religious circles.

The paranormal continues to remain a part of Rev. Sherrie's ministry as well as a part of her writing and speaking platforms.  Sherrie speaks to paranormal conferences, to paranormal meet-up groups,at fundraising events for historical sites, to church youth groups, to pastors, and at religious conferences, functions and events.   She also is a frequent guest on Internet radio shows, including have been interviewed on the following: Live Paranormal with Deonna Kelli-Sayed (http://www.deonnakellisayed.com or  www.liveparanormal.com); on The Malliard Report on The Shark Network; on Jeremiah Greer Live (http://www.jeremiahgreerlive.com); and is a frequent guest on The Grand Dark Conspiracy with Daniel Bautz (http://www.granddarkconspiracy.com) on The Shark Network.  Sherrie also has been a guest host for Think Tank on Live Paranormal.  She also is a writer and freelance editor, and is a regular contributor of articles to websites such as ghostvillage.com.
